75th Anniversary Independence Day of India at Embassy- 15/08/2021
India celebrated its 75th Independence Day this year on the 15th August 2021.
The occasion is being observed as a 75-week festival called ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’. It was launched on 12 March this year and will continue till 15 August 2023.
GOPIO France Team was present at the Embassy of India in Paris for the Flag hoisting ceremony.
Dr Jean Regis Ramsamy received the Certificate and Medal for the PBD Samman Award 2021, which is the highest honour conferred on overseas Indians.
Handed out by President of India Ram Nath Kovind, the awards are given to Non-Resident Indians, Persons of Indian Origin or an organization/institution established and run by Non-Resident Indians or Persons of Indian Origin in recognition of their outstanding achievements both in India and abroad.
Dr Jean Regis Ramsamy is the Founder member of GOPIO Reunion Island.
