PEACE MARCH AGAINST TERRORISM: TROCADERO_PARIS – 24th FEBRUARY 2019

The Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) joins with its many chapters in France and other countries, as well as other organizations, agencies, groups and institutions worldwide, in expressing its strong and unequivocal condemnation of the terrorist attack in India on February 14, 2019 that killed 40 CRPF personnel and left many more injured.
GOPIO’s global membership shares the pain and anguish of those affected and we extend our condolences to the families of the victims of this tragedy and offer prayers for the speedy recovery of those injured. GOPIO considers that terrorism is an awful crime that can never be excused or justified. We share in the universal belief that terror will not succeed as the will of decent people shall overcome such criminal acts. It is imperative to confront,combat and overcome terrorism which truly menaces any democracy.
GOPIO fully supports all measures taken to bring security, calm and confidence to the people and urge all efforts to prevent similar attacks in the future.
