HOLI, one of the most traditional festivals of India was celebrated on Sunday 19th of March 2017 with great fervor in Paris in a huge event organized by GOPIO France Paris and Le Jardin d’Acclimatation. This event got the full support of the Indian Embassy in Paris and Shri Manish Prabhat, Deputy Chief of Mission in Paris honored this event with his family.
Around 25000 visitors, French and Indian origins shared this great moment of happiness with colors in a spirit of love, friendship and brotherhood. Many people got a good glimpse of the rich and diverse cultures of India.
A mix of Bollywood dances, Bangra and Rajasthani traditional music were performed by the different groups of the Indian Diaspora.
The Artonic group with the show “Color of Time” added another taste to this event.
HOLI is a wonderful celebration to bring the people of different background together and generate positive energies. It celebrates the triumph of good over evil and the arrival of Spring.
It’s celebrated by people both young and old.
With this smashing success, GOPIO France Paris is looking forward to make this event an annual rendez vous with the French and Indians in Paris.
